This is a really good thing guys. For those of you who care about helping the environment, this is for you! This gives you an opportunity to travel, meet interesting people, get a good workout and help the planet.

Now this sounds like a great deal to me!

If you are tired of going to the same places year after year,

why not try a volunteer vacation?

You will have something good to blog about that's for sure!

American Hiking Society

This is how I spent my summer vacation: doing yard work for America". The benefit for the Forest Service is obvious: free labor on projects that might otherwise not get done. But the ultimate motive is to instill in visitors a love of the land - and an appreciation that nature doesn't stay natural without a little help. Memories of New Orleans

Today I just wanted to share some photos of the New Orleans I love so much. I have some personal photos that I have taken over the years, but unfortunately I could not download them to share with you, but the photos of the city I am sharing with you today will convey the beauty of the city that is so near and dear to my heart.

Fortunately my loved ones live 3 hours from New Orleans and survived the brunt of Katrina. I am thankful for God's mercy today for that reason.

For those of you who have loved ones who were not spared the wrath of this hurricane, my prayers are with you. You have a long road ahead of you and I know that God will give you the strength and courage you will need to go on.
